The Municipality of Ourém has promised (for a long time) to build a kennel to collect the abandoned animals and not to sacrifice them, but as there is no interest in the house nor sufficient pressure for the person who hates this, for the construction of the kennel for the animals near Fatima, will forget this promise and will spend the money they had available for this construction of other works that give more votes.

We do not know how many animals were killed with the arrival of the 13th of May and with the arrival of the current representative of the Catholic Church in Fatima, but we believe that they were, they do not see any dogs, because the streets were clean, as is always done with a Impressive regularity. This is an abominable situation, the party that calls itself representative of God, an incomprehensible cruelty in a space that they want to make sacred and that they themselves profane with death and blood.

I think dogs are the most amazing creatures,they give unconditional love. For me, they are the role model for being alive.
This man was annoyed because his neighbor’s dog kept trespassing on his property. Darta claims he warned he owner to keep his dog on a leash or else there will be consequences; when his neighbor failed to act as instructed, Darta took matters into his own hands and decided to teach the man a lesson.

This "festival" is an event that starts on June 21st of every year during the summer solstice and it lasts for 10 long horrifying days in which 10,000–15,000 dogs are consumed. However, it is estimated 25 million dogs are stolen, sold, bought, and eaten every year with the illegal dog and cat meat trade.

A larger percentage of these dogs consist of pets stolen right from their loving families. The rest of the dogs are captured strays from the streets and some raised in dog farms. After these animals are stolen, bought, or captured they are then transported for days without any food or water, crammed in tiny cages together so tightly that they are unable to even move. At the yulin festival, throughout those days, these animals will be hung, burned, skinned, boiled, torched, dismembered, electrocuted and beaten...ALIVE..out in the streets for public view. But If that isn't bad enough, they intentionally torture these animals in front of the other animals in order to create even more stress and fear. The belief behind the torturing and slaughtering them while still ALIVE, is because the people of yulin believe the more adrenaline and fear that runs through the blood, the more tender and better tasting the meat will be Why do they eat dog meat? Because they believe that if you eat dog meat it gives the men more sexual stamina, it will keep them cool during the summer's heat and it will ward off evil spirits.
China's tradition of eating dog meat has been around for over 400 years. However, it wasn't until 2009 when the festival in Yulin began by dog meat traders in order to boost business. Animal welfare activists have been trying for years to get this horrible event banned. But the government of china keeps looking the other way saying there is nothing they can do. Petitions are being signed by millions of people. But as long as they are being sent to the older generation, who still believe in the custom and belief of eating dog is acceptable, and considering china does not have any stamina, it will keep them cool during the summer's heat and it will ward off evil spirits. It seems to be going no where. But we are a generation that realizes that is it 2016 and the common sense to know that these acts are immortal and inhumane. This is treatment inflicted on a species that provides so many benefits to humans. They are police officers, service dogs, emotional support for abused children, a child's best friend and childhood memories. They ARE OUR best friends. They never asked to be born and they certainly do not deserve this type of treatment.
Therefore, due to the fact that Xi Jinping, the president of china, is deciding to ignore this abnormal, inhumane, and SHAMEFUL behavior and plainly plainly keeps denying our requests, I am petitioning his wife, Peng Liyuan and his only daughter, Xi Mingze to help ban the 2017 Lychee and Dog Meat eating Festival and to quit torturing these innocent intelligent animals. It is his wife and it is his daughter who is a part of the younger generation. They must know and realize that their husband and father allowing this just isn't right and it is ONLY making china a laughing stock of this entire world. Individuals from every country all over the world are against it. There are more and more people worldwide boycotting china's manufactured products unless the festival is banned. My friend had me watch his dog for a few months and now had to move and is no longer able to take the dog. Basically being the person I am , I decided it's best to keep the dog. Now the dog has become very ill over the last few days and was showing signs of what I though may have been Parvovirus.

Well I took Missy to the vet and it's gonna be a costly endeavour. It's looking like a server Urinary Track Infection or Cancer of the bladder and Gastro lintestinal Distress. I am so lucky to be able to do payments but 1 visit cost me $495 and I have 3 more at the same cost. Roughly $2500 with the cost of medicines and special food. That is if it's just the urinary track infection. If it's cancer then they will need to do x-rays and surgical procedures. I am asking for financial aid by anyone that is willing to help me with this care of this amazing dog that was abandoned in my care. If anyone wants to donate. It would greatly appreciated.
This dog means the world to me, I recently lost my grandfather and this dog has been my rock. I don't now how to explain it more than if I lost this dog due to lack of finances I couldn't forgive myself.

Friday night when the front door opened for someone to go outside, Elsa ran out of the house. All of us immediately went outside to try to catch her and bring her back home safely. While in the process she ran towards the main road, and was struck by a truck. We quickly got her picked up and taken to the nearest emergency vet hospital.

Elsa's heart rate and blood pressure were stable, but she could not stand up at all, or move her legs. We were told a few options, but the first thing to do was an x-ray of her spine to check for any broken vertebrae. No obvious fractures were seen, however she has a pneumothorax. The next option suggested was to send her to get a CT and/or MRI. However with the costs required for those and the outcomes not being so well we chose not to do that yet. We admitted her to the hospital, and she is currently receiving pain medication, iv fluids, and other medications. We are hopeful that the cause is just inflammation and once it subsides she will be able to stand. The doctor removed air from her chest overnight. She is stable this morning.
Our options moving forward are to keep her at the hospital, with estimated cost around $500/day. So she can receive the care needed, and hopefully make a full recovery. Or send her to get more diagnostic tests done, and find out exactly what the problem is. Which the estimated cost for that is in the thousands. Or we can bring her home and attempt to nurse her back to health on our own. The last and final decision we will have to make if she doesn't improve, is one that none of us in my family want to make. And we are hopeful we will not have to make that decision.

Here's an update about the Radar's treatment. Radar has a Cancer of type Mass Cell Tumour on his paw. Currently just monitoring him, he has I.V morphine, ketamine and taking gabapentin. The radiation from the radiotherapy on his paw, a really delicate area breaks down and will result in looking like this the picture.

Well, 2 days before Christmas Eve, a lump appeared on Radar's paw, so we took him to the vets, where they took a sample and the next day, was confirmed it was cancer, a MCT (Mast Cell Tumor).

It's a very complicated cancer and we were referred to the oncology unit at The Royal (Dick) Vet school, Edinburgh....so, the 1 hour consultation lasted 9 hours and 2 surgery's in 36 hour...then Radiotherapy - 16 sessions, every day for 3 weeks with a general anesthetic everyday....He was doing "OK" until Friday....hen at midnight, his breathing became laboured and the radiotherapy stared kicking in, the pads on his paw fallen off in front of us...no drinking for 17 hours, no eating for 2 days - so, one emergency call at 3 am Saturday morning....and he's now been admitted :- with an extra cost of about 1000-1500....well, I'm maxed out of options....

We are asking you to open up an investigation on this security company. Eastern Securities has slaughtered over 25 innocent dogs whom were born and trained to help save the lives of Americans. On top of executing these dogs, the employees posted photos of the helpless dead dogs. They cannot possibly get away with this! At least 25 innocent American bomb-sniffing dogs have been slaughtered by an American security company, Eastern Securities, in Kuwait. There must be a severe punishment for this type of cruelty!
